Political uncertainty and investment challenges dominated discussions as Societe Generale hosted its second Derivatives Conference today, showcasing the bank's 30 years of expertise in derivatives.

The London event brought together in excess of 100 investors from a range of high profile Asset Managers, Hedge Funds and Pension Funds. Discussions were dominated by the prevailing low-yield environment, global volatility and political uncertainty fuelled by global populism

In a significantly changing financial industry, derivatives, albeit having faced several challenges before, are often the only way to generate yield and provide answers where more traditional vanilla investments perform inadequately.

With a 30-year track record, its commitment to its derivatives business across all asset classes, its product expertise and its innovation capabilities, Societe Generale is a strong partner for clients when it comes to finding solutions to their increasingly complex challenges.

The bank has displayed the ability to adapt over 30 years, anticipating shifts in market conditions and the needs of clients and has the expertise to continue to flourish in the face of political uncertainty and challenging market conditions.
