Societe Generale UK & Societe Generale UK Foundation: Our Combined Community Impact In 2024
Last year, 235 organisations and over 2,000 people were reached thanks to our colleagues’ support of our CSR initiatives combined with investments made by the SG UK Foundation.
We are grateful to our staff for their strong engagement, with almost 1,400 of them investing their time, skills, and donations to make a valued difference in our local communities.
Together with the SG UK Foundation, we are proud to be continuing to make a meaningful impact as we work towards improving employment outcomes and building brighter futures.
Reaching Key Milestones In 2024
Inspiring Young Talent: We completed three years of our flagship CSR programme, Young Influencers, which aims to equip the next generation of talent with the skills needed to build a successful career. We have now engaged over 190 students and 500 employees through interactive workshops and/or summer work experience placements across the bank.
Breaking Down Barriers: We reached a milestone of £1.5 million in donations for our charity partner Shelter’s Getting Real Opportunities of Work programme which we are supporting for five years (until March 2026).
Supporting people furthest from the job market: The SG UK Foundation completed its sixth year partnering with the East End Community Foundation to distribute grassroots funding. The SG UK Foundation Fund has now awarded a total of £750,500 in grants, supporting over 7,300 people with 725 gaining a qualification and 614 securing employment to date.
