Partnership with Mind recognised at Third Sector Business Charity Awards

Societe Generale took the coveted ‘Best Charity Partnership - Financial Services' category at the 2017 Third Sector Business Charity Awards

The Awards celebrate the outstanding contribution made by businesses in the UK to support good causes and the bank’s partnership with Mind drew particular praise for leading the way in the financial services sector.

The two-year partnership came to an end in February 2017, having raised over £830,000 - far exceeding the initial £600,000 target. Funds raised were used to support the ‘Advice to Action' campaign, enabling the Mind Infoline to deal with 40,000 enquiries over two years and funding 21 local grant projects that have been accessed by 1,434 beneficiaries.

Beyond the money raised for the charity, the award also recognised the work done within Societe Generale to raise awareness of mental health issues through campaigns and wellbeing events. Societe Generale staff also volunteered just under 800 hours to support various Mind projects, including mentoring, skills-sharing projects, shop challenges and more.
